Yeah, she’s had a pretty tough climb up this mountain. What’s that Miley? I can’t hear you very well, some millionaire country star is singing Achy Breaky Heart in my ear…

Miley Cyrus. “The Climb.”

Graduates of Dyna Moe & Neil Casey’s 600 Improv Class perform “the Movie” - an original improvised movie, live on stage. See everything you’d expect from a movie improvised live on stage — dramatic camera angles, tense editing, high-flying action sequences and tender dénouement. Never-before-seen movies created from audience suggestions that span every era, every style, and every genre, but always better than anything you’d see at a multiplex.

Susan Casey, Mackenzie Condon, Rory Covey, Zed Cutsinger, Shira Danan, James Dwyer, Don Fanelli, Flannery Foster, Melissa Gomez, Jocelyn Guest, Daniel Hodapp, Rob Michael Hugel, Justin Noble, Susan Smith, Drew Tarvin, John Timothy

One of my new favorite things is to see these guys in THESE costumes doing improv. Reverse 5 did a HILARIOUS set at gentrify brooklyn. A monoscene about lifeguards being taken over by the children of the pool. Their dramatic commitment was perfect and to top it off they were feminine sounding and super goth looking. Could’ve watched this for hours.

Today the band Copeland announced they’ll be breaking up after a farewell tour in the spring. I spent a year with them from fall of 05- Fall of 06 as their merch and videographer.  I stopped working for them in fall of ‘06 to move to NYC and pursue comedy and acting. It was one of the hardest choices I’ve ever had to make. But it was also the best choice I could’ve made.
The time with them was definitely one of the most exciting and fruitful experiences of my life and I’ll always have a huge softy spot in my heart for them as people, and their music. So long copeland and thanks for all the memories! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
