Nights in UltraViolet continue to impress.

A scene from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Movie. One of the biggest movies of my childhood. The epic coolness in this scene carries over into some of the IHBS finale if you watch close.

The first part of the I Hate Being Single season Finale. I’m ecstatic to share. This was something I thought would be impossible to make but the help of friends and strangers alike through kickstarter made the project succeed with funding. T.J. Misny directed this episode and also put a LOT of pieces together and worked very hard to make it happen. The amazing cinematography was done by Adam Newport-Berra.
The insane steadicam work was thanks to David George Ellis.
Lorraine DeGraffenreidt did a great job producing this complicated beast and Dustin Drury of Dr Cool Sex was Assistant Director.
Our amazing cast includes stand up comedians Ben Kronberg, Eddie Brawley as well as Laura Willcox, Jocelyn DeBoer, Matt Klinman, Johnny Mcnulty, and Pat O’brien. All, hilarious performers at UCB and great friends of mine.
The Music is awesome as always by Jake Zavracky
We had the help of 40 or more extras, many many locations including the boat. It was 2 of the craziest and amazing days of my life.
I could talk for hours about the finale experience and how special it is to me but I’ll save it for another time.

The final result is a 15 minute short film that is split into 2 episodes. Part 2 will be released next Tuesday, May 22 on Ihatebeingsingleseries.com and you can get them in your feed automatically by following the series on tumblr.

I Hate Being Single

Loving this series! Tadaaaa! 

I’ve been waiting a while to bust out the puppets. This is just another side of the over nostalgic character doesn’t seem to grow up. This is why songs like “Man or Muppet?” strike me to the core. I’ve never NOT asked myself that question. But seriously… Jim Henson planted seeds in SOOOOO many kids minds and now we’re a little bit older and we can’t shake those ideas! Following your heart, going for your dreams, believing in yourself. I’m very glad to see a resurgence in the Muppet (and Pee Wee Herman) franchise. My favorite things as a young kid are still things I’m really proud to be a fan of. I went through the middle school/ high school/college years as the guy that “weirdly” liked those things still. Now it’s all come back into the mainstream and it’s popular again and that I’m closer to being in the entertainment business I just want to get my grubby hands in there and be a part of it! I hope people keep watching because this won’t be the last time these ideas and references pop up! This show is very much a window into my brain and heart.
